I’ve had a chance to read “52: Week Three”, so if you don’t want to know about it, quit reading right now! I’ll be giving my blow-by-blow account of the comic, and then some comments afterwords.

WEEK 3, DAY 1
In Gotham City, Maggie Sawyer and the Gotham P.D. are on the site of a murder. Detective Jiang shows here the corpse, it looks just like the former president of the United States — Lex Luthor.
Meanwhile, over in North Africa, Power Girl is in hot pursuit of Terra-Man. She’s close to capturing him when Black Adam arrives. He warns her to keep out of Kahndaq airspace.
He reminds her tha 5,079,432 people died in the recent crisis.
WEEK 3, DAY 2
In Metropolis, Steel is arguing with his niece. He insists she attend summer school for bad English grades. He gets a call from STAR Labs to identify the body of Lex Luthor.
WEEK 3, DAY 3
In Kahndaq, Rough House and Moose of the Intergang arrive to try to secure a deal with Black Adam. They offer an Egyptian Virgin and a heap of gold for his permission to use Kahndaq as a smuggling route. Black Adam executes Moose on the spot and warns Intergang not to to come near Khandaq.
WEEK 3, DAY 4
Booster Gold battles Shockwave as he talks with Skeets about bets he’s been placing to rake in cash. Later, he visits a business that he’s just signed an endorsement deal with. He stands to make millions with his stock options.
At the party celebrating the endorsement deal, federal agents storm in and arrest the company president for securities fraud.
Booster yells at Skeets for another problem with his historical data and storms away. He’s going to find Rip Hunter, the time cop.
WEEK 3, DAY 5
Steel arrives at STAR Labs, where he discovers that the corpse is a Lex Luthor, just not the Lex Luthor. He theorizes that it’s a Lex from another dimension that crossed over during the recent Crisis.
Just then, the Lex Luthor from this dimension arrives with a gang of reporters, explaining to them that it was this impersonator that did all the bad things Lex was blamed for recently.
We also see inside Sivana’s lab. Mr. Mind is still trapped in a jar.
WEEK 3, DAY 6
At the Kahndaq Embassy in Metropolis, Lois Lane and another reporter are talking about Black Adam’s plans. One claims he’s going to allow asylum for super-villains.
Black Adam arrives with Terra-Man. Adam explains his position as Terra-Man poses, snickers and seems to be enjoying himself.
“I hope to gather allies,” Black Adam says. “Allies who will deliver messages to everyone out there looking to take adavantage of the heroes’ absence. The first message is simple: People like this man (referring to T-M) don’t deserve to live.”
And with that, Black Adam rips Terra-Man in half, splattering the gathered reporters with his innards.
Meanwhile, inside Sivana’s lab, Mr. Mind has woven himself a cocoon.
End of issue
My comments: Okay, as with the previous issues, I enjoyed this one quite a bit. My only complaint is that the body count keeps growing. Some people may say it adds realism to the book, but not in my mind!
It’s grotesque. It’s unneccesary and I’m getting a little weary of it. I don’t even know who Moose or Terra-Man are, but I don’t like them getting killed.
Hey writers, give us a great story, but tone down the violence a bit!
Black Adam is definitely a bad ass, but let’s find a different way to show how much of a bad ass he is.
